The Built Environment Ladies Association
bela is an association that seeks to provide women in the built environment an opportunity to meet once a month in a fun relaxed environment, to socialise and take part in professional and personal topics relevant to women in the industry.
The Association is a non-profit, voluntary, community based organisation with the following mission:
- To bring together women involved in the professional and related aspects, of the built environment.
- To inspire, uplift and empower women in the built environment.
- To promote the meeting of minds and exchange of ideas amongst all its members in a supportive environment.
- To promote friendship and a culture of fun, creative, supportive, and inspiring networking, fostering support, and the development of skills.
- To provide a co-operative, synergetic, cross-sector environment for contributions and fair participation.
What we do: Bela will arrange one event per month, and the three themes will run on a quarterly cycle, i.e. Site visits, professional development and personal development (in no particular order).
Our Commitment: This association commits itself to promoting social networking and development for women involved in the professional and related aspects, of the built environment… in a non-racial, non-discriminating and democratic way and to provide equal rights to all members and administrators.
This association will promote the highest possible principles and values amongst our members, and uphold consideration, honesty, and integrity amongst the members.
